    Visitor Guidelines

During your stay, visits from family and friends are welcomed and encouraged; however, rest and quiet time also are important. Therefore, St. Mary's Hospital has established the following guidelines for visitors:

    • Request a nurse’s permission before bringing food.
    • Keep visits brief. Long visits may tire the patient.
    • Postpone seeing the patient if the visitor has a cold, sore throat or any contagious illness.
    • Respect the privacy of others and visit quietly.
    • Please closely observe children visiting a double room as not to disturb the other patients.
    • Leave the room while the patient receives a treatment or examination, during an emergency or when requested by medical personnel.
    • Visitor parking is available in the lot north of the main hospital entrance.
    • Public and handicap restrooms are located in the lobby and emergency department waiting room.
