Home Health
There are times when we all need a little extra help.
When you're sick, you take comfort in being at home,
surrounded by the people you love. St. Mary's Home Health
registered nurses, aides, physical, occupational and
speech therapists, and social workers understand how
you feel. With their medical care and emotional support,
you'll be able to recover comfortably without leaving
home. For more information, please contact 815-673-4516.
OPTIMUM
Care
St. Mary's Hospital is sensitive to the needs of patients
who require ongoing medical care but are not home-bound.
To satisfy the healthcare requirements for these individuals,
St. Mary's Hospital offers an outpatient treatment center,
called OPTIMUM (Outpatient Treatment Infusion Management
Under Medical Care).
The OPTIMUM center offers a wide range of procedures
that are not readily available at a doctor's office
and do not require the urgency of the emergency department.
Services offered by the center include:
Long-term antibiotic therapy
Blood transfusions
Wound care/dressing changes
Catheter changes and removal
Enemas and colostomy changes
Tracheostomy changes
Central line care
Allergy shots
Prescription drug monitoring
Medical injections
IV therapy
Epidural cassettes/CAD pumps
Splint pick-ups
The Optimum Care Center is open all year, 7 days a week
by prescheduled appointment, so you can schedule a visit
when it's most convenient for you. The Optimum Care
Center can shorten the length of your hospitalization
or even promote your return to health to avoid being
hospitalized at all. For more information, please contact
815-673-4627.
Adult Day Center
The Adult Day Center (ADC) is for adults who are minimally
impaired, socially isolated or disabled. Our caring,
professional staff and friendly surroundings are here
for adults who may need some assistance but do not require
24-hour institutional care. We offer daily activities
such as music, arts, crafts and exercise in a friendly
group setting. Participants also have the opportunity
to take part in community outings, discussion groups
or guest presentations.
The ADC service area includes portions of LaSalle, Livingston
and Marshall Counties. St. Mary’s provides transportation
to and from the Center in vans equipped with hydraulic
lifts to accommodate wheelchairs. For more information,
call (815) 672-7637.
